On behalf of the Board of Trustees, our staff, and those who serve on Village committees and boards, welcome to the Village of Franklinville. Our team is committed to providing resources and communicating with the community.
The Village of Franklinville government is a five-member Board, comprised of four trustees and led by the Mayor. Meetings are on the second and fourth Monday of each month in the Village Office at 7:00 pm. I urge you to attend and be a part of the decisions made in your community.
The village is within the Town of Franklinville in the northeast quadrant of Cattaraugus County, New York. Along with our 1580 residents (as of the 2020 census), we take pride in our efforts to preserve a small-town community atmosphere.
The village operates its own Department of Public Works, Water, Sewer, and Police Department. A local law was passed in February of 2024 to form a municipal court. The court is not yet live. Annually on the last full weekend in April our village is host to the WNY Maple Festival. This is one of the first and largest area events of the year and celebrates the rich history of maple production in our community. This event was formed by the Franklinville Jaycee’s in 1963 to highlight local producers, their maple syrup, and maple products.
We hope you will enjoy everything our Village has to offer and will in turn contribute to its texture and well-being. We look forward to seeing you at our many community gatherings. Mayor Ashley Schumaker
